I have two Golden Retrievers and one of them is deathly afraid of thunderstorms. She trembles uncontrollably, paces and has frequent accidents during a storm.
I tried "Happy Traveler" pills and it definitely has taken the edge off. The pill does not make her groggy, but she seems to be more relaxed.She no longer has accidents unless there is a HUGE roar of thunder. I would recommend "Happy Traveler" to anyone who has a dog that is terrified during thunderstorm or during fireworks. I do think it should have a different name because I believe a consumer will think it is given to a dog who has motion sickness only.
Although it probably does work for motion sickness, it obviously can be used for both travel and storms. My Golden is very fussy about food and treats, so I put the "Happy Traveler" pill in peanut butter and she takes it immediately. Be sure to try it! It really works!
